Shared Stay-in Senior Caregiving Services (Stay-in SCS) is a private service where trained caregiving staff support a group of seniors living together in a shared residence.

 

Trained caregiving staff provide basic support with seniors’ daily living activities.

 

Who is this service for

 

This private service is for seniors who require basic support with daily living activities.

 

Stay-in SCS may be suitable if your loved one:

  • Can generally live in a shared residential setting
  • Needs help with some daily living activities
  • Is able to make decisions about their care (or has a next-of-kin who can do so on their behalf)

 

Services provided

 

Trained caregiving staff will provide basic support with:

  • Daily living activities

    ADLs
  • Meal preparation
  • Domestic tasks (eg housekeeping and buying groceries)
  • Social activities (eg walks, basic exercises and board games)
  • Basic care (eg measuring vital signs and packing medication)

Do note that Stay-in SCS does not provide medical or nursing care.

Stay-in SCS is a private service where a shared caregiving team support a group of seniors living together in a shared residence. Trained caregiving staff provide basic support with the seniors’ daily living activities, housekeeping, meals and social activities.

Unlike nursing homes or home care services, Stay-in SCS does not provide medical or nursing care. You will need to work with the Stay-in SCS provider to engage licensed healthcare providers for your loved ones where required..

Caregiving staff in Stay-in SCS are not licensed healthcare professionals.

You will need to arrange nursing or medical services from licensed healthcare providers (eg GPs, polyclinics, nurses, doctors), or consider another Community Care service that better meets their needs.

Your loved one may apply for other Community Care services and financial assistance schemes if he/ she meets the eligibility criteria.
