Shared Stay-in Senior Caregiving Services

About this service

Shared Stay-in Senior Caregiving Services (Stay-in SCS) is a care model where trained caregiving staff support a group of seniors living together in a shared residential setting.

This model is most suitable for seniors who:
Require basic support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), and
Are able to make decisions about their care (or have a Next-of-Kin who can do so on their behalf).

Stay-in SCS focuses on daily living tasks, meals, housekeeping and social engagement within a home-like environment.

Note: Medical and nursing care are not within the scope of Stay-in SCS. You will need to engage relevant licensed healthcare providers when requested by the senior or their Next-of-Kin.

Please read the Stay-in SCS Good Practice Guide to find out more if you are interested in providing this service.

FAQs

In Stay-in SCS, trained caregiving staff provide basic support to a group of seniors living together in the same residence with their activities of daily living, meals and social programmes.

Unlike nursing homes or home care services like home nursing/medical services, Stay-in SCS does not provide medical or nursing care. Any medical or nursing related services must be arranged separately with licensed healthcare providers.

Stay-in SCS is not subsidised by the government. It operates as a private sector-led service model where companies determine their own pricing structures based on accommodation type and services provided.
