The AIC Wellness Programme engages seniors through the provision of meaningful activities to enhance their wellbeing and quality of life. In this section, you will find an array of resources for a wide spectrum of seniors, from those well and living in their own homes to those receiving care from Community Care services (eg nursing homes, day care, etc). This toolkit aims to enhance person-centred care by providing insights into seniors’ memories and values. The selection of art activities in this Toolkit was developed as part of the Community Care sector’s inaugural Arts Residency, a joint initiative by AIC and the National Arts Council. The Residency paired 10 artists with 9 nursing homes across Singapore. This toolkit, featuring 14 adaptive sports, caters to wheelchair players in Community Care facilities. It was developed in collaboration with Sport Singapore, SportCares and piloted with nursing home residents and senior care centre clients. It encourages seniors to reflect on their life experiences and share their wisdom, helping to strengthen relationships and foster connections.
