SGO drives volunteer recruitment and senior outreach as part of AIC. Our Silver Generation Ambassadors (SGAs) and Silver Guardians build relationships with seniors, leading them to live life unstoppable.

We support seniors’ health and well-being by understanding their needs and connecting them with relevant care services and resources, activated through home visits, calls and community programmes.

At the heart of what we do is a passion for building connections, represented by the core of our logo.

As the tree represents SGO, the leaves that expand and grow outwards are our volunteers — always reaching out, spreading joy, bringing seniors and our community closer together.

Our Vision

An ageless society where everyone has the right to live life unstoppable.

Our Mission

Our volunteers support seniors to live fearlessly and embrace the challenges and rewards that come with age.

Our Beliefs

SGO

One in four Singaporeans will be aged 65 and above by 2030. So what we do for seniors today, is also how we plan for seniors of tomorrow.

We believe in:

  • SHARING our time, talents and hearts with seniors, to create moments that matter.
  • CONNECTING seniors with community, friends and purpose, fostering a sense of belonging.
  • SUPPORTING seniors to live life on their own terms, with confidence and joy.
  • INSPIRING hope and possibility in seniors, ensuring they feel seen, heard and valued.
  • UPLIFTING seniors, celebrating their strengths and supporting them through challenges.

*SGO is refreshing the uniform and lanyard of our volunteers. You may see SGAs wearing both old and new designs during this period.

You can easily identify Silver Generation Ambassadors by their shirt with our SGO logo and the SGA lanyard worn at all times.

As for Silver Guardians, they will be in plain clothes and only deployed to Active Ageing Centres.
