Household Services Scheme (HSS)
For those who require part-time or temporary help with household chores.
Introduction
The Household Services Scheme (HSS) is a Ministry of Manpower scheme that allows companies to hire more migrant workers to provide part-time domestic services.
Who is this scheme for
The service is suitable for households that:
- Need part-time help with domestic tasks (eg a few hours a day or week)
- Are looking for basic elder-minding services. Do note:
- Please check with the HSS provider about the worker’s training, qualifications, and experience if engaging them for basic elder-minding to ensure they are suitable for your needs.
- Do have a member of the household present to supervise, especially when using the services of the worker for the first time.
- If your loved one requires a higher level of care or support, please engage home nursing, home personal care, day care, home therapy and community rehabilitation service providers directly.
