Activities and Workshops

 

Conducted by music therapist volunteers, Aphasia SG Choir is a therapeutic platform for people with communication impairments to practise their verbal output through the medium of music, rhythm and singing. To find out more, email aphasiasg@gmail.com or contact 9781 3531.

Organised by speech and language therapist volunteers, Chit Chat Cafe by Aphasia SG is the only supported conversational group for Persons with Aphasia (PWA) and their caregivers in Singapore. It is a safe space for PWA to practise their speech while increasing their opportunities to forge new friendships at monthly “pop-up” sessions.

 

Target Audience: Public (persons with aphasia and their caregivers)
Minimum Mobility Status: Seniors who are wheelchair users (ie not able to walk/ minimal walking)

The Health Promotion Board’s Eat, Drink, Shop Healthy Challenge aims to encourage individuals to make healthier choices when purchasing healthier meals, drinks, desserts, or groceries. With every qualifying item purchased, participants will be able to earn digital stamps and Healthpoints which can be redeemed for rewards thereafter.

SG Screening is the national screening programme by the Health Promotion Board that offers Singapore Citizens health screening subsidies to encourage regular health screening and follow-up.

Eligible Singapore Citizens who are enrolled with Healthier SG will enjoy special subsidies for Healthier SG Screening at their enrolled Healthier SG clinic.

Project Silver Screen is a nation-wide functional screening programme by the Health Promotion Board for seniors aged 60 and above (Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents). For $5 or less, seniors can find out if their eyes, ears and mouth are in good health at a screening event near them.
